Linen Flat

A concept for a four-room HDB flat, designed around one idea: everything has a place, so the rooms can stay quiet. Full-height carpentry runs along one wall of the living room, hiding storage, the television and the router behind plain oak-veneer doors. Wood-look vinyl flooring laid over the existing tiles warms the floors without hacking.

At the windows, linen sheers are layered with Korean blinds for daytime privacy, and the bedrooms use blackout blinds behind curtains. The palette is narrow on purpose: oat, stone and soft white, with texture doing the work that colour would do elsewhere. Read more about our approach to HDB interior design.
